This is created for recent trending #whyIsign. #whyIsign was started by Stacy Abrams. She wanted to spread knowledge about sign language, how it helped so many deaf people and families, like myself, and to encourage more people to learn and use sign language, especially with deaf children.

This is wonderful. I am also incredibly excited that next year, I get to work with another wonderful teacher who will teach my students sign language. We had a foreign language requirement for our g/t programming, and there was never much spark (and incredibly hard to orchestrate and differentiate for the kids we had); I am thrilled that next year, my kids will learn not only sign language, but also about the deaf community.

sitting in a ball on the shower floor or b). standing completely still while staring into the abyss absentmindedly and scratching your ass. anything else gets a 0 and a “see me after class”
Men who do this refuse to conceptualise female nudity as anything other than a sexualised performance designed to titillate them. They feel so entitled to our private lives that they create this horrible, voyeuristic fantasy whereby everything we do (even when completely alone) is about being sexy for them. This in turn informs fantasies whereby they seek to violate our private lives through surveilling us, whereby they see our desire for privacy as nothing but a conscious, coquettish refusal to titillate them.
In writing us this way, they deny us our humanity by denying that we ever exist and think and feel externally to them.
Hello, my name is Rina and my grandmother passed away. Her wish was to be buried in Thunder Bay so her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren can visit her more often. She is currently buried in an unmarked grave in a cemetery and has been for 6 years, our family is disheartened by this, as we are unable to pay for the lot. If we pay for the lot, she will be able to at least have a tombstone or a cross.
Ina Fisher was a mother of 7, and had to raise them by herself after the murder of her husband, Rapheal Fisher. Rapheal was hung by the police of Longlac Ontario in the 70s, and as such, was not able to meet his grandchildren, with this tragedy our grandmother faced many challenges throughout her life.
We want to honor her strength and determination to raise her children. As our beloved elder, mother, aunt, and grandmother, she deserves a tombstone to be honored respectfully.
